5 Valentine's Day activities to keep things fresh!

Double Chevron Left Back to News

If you’re looking for fresh ideas to spice up this Valentine’s Day, our list of 5 activities will keep things exciting this year, without costing an arm and a leg!

The good news? It will only take about 3 minutes to read the entire article and find a fix to your annual dilemma. Effective right?

Many people would simply grab flowers or a box of chocolate to show their affection, and we get it. It’s hard to say no to the mesmerizing geometric lines of the box, and sweet little insides that leave us craving more.

However, we think these are overrated and overdone.

Don’t worry!

Our list of 5 activities doesn’t involve hiring Gordon Ramsay to cook you a private dinner at the lost city of Atlantis, we’ve kept it simple and easy to manage.

So settle in…It’s time to surprise your loved ones with something new, something unexpected!

Begin the Day Beautifully

1 - The Classic; Breakfast in Bed.

Nothing says “I love you” like a perfect Valentine’s Day breakfast in bed. It goes without saying that you still have to be careful to avoid any spills unless your mattress is spill-proof, like Polysleep’s viscoelastic hybrid foam mattress. Let your better half rest comfortably against their best pillow while you serve them up a delicious breakfast in bed, this is definitely one of the best ways to start your Valentine’s day activities!

2 - Heart-Shaped Food!

If breakfast in bed isn’t a Valentine’s Day activity you or your significant other are into, you could still prepare them a romantic breakfast in the kitchen. Make some heart-shaped chocolate chip pancakes; it might be a little cliché but it works well.

A study conducted by Harvard University in 2014 proves this. Yeah, well, that’s not true. Nevertheless, we are absolutely convinced it’s still a great idea!

Nothing Says “I Love You” Like Do-It-Yourself!

3 - Cooking Together

Sure, you could bring your date to a restaurant and pay the bill. It’s nice and it works, but it’s not as personal as taking time out of your day to prepare a beautiful meal together. Out of all the Valentine’s Day activities, cooking together and spending time creating memories is a great way to deepen your relationship. This is the emotional part of the article. #holdbackthetears

4 - Love-O-Therapy!

Imagine lying in bed, with your significant others running their hands all over you. Some people aren’t the best at giving massages, but you don’t have to be a pro to make your partner feel amazing. Stock up on some warming-sensation massage oil, and gently run your hands with a little bit of pressure against their skin, trust us…they’re going to love you for it!

Skin contact is a must when it comes to Valentine’s Day activities, and nobody needs a massage therapy degree to know how to give a nice back rub! All you need is two working hands, some heating oil and a comfortable mattress for your significant other to relax on. Once this activity is over, you can also move to another one of our favorite Valentine’s Day activities.

5 - Romantic Bath Time

We all know that scene in romantic comedies where the guy creates a trail of rose petals to the bed or the bathroom, right? It’s romantic, it’s a bit stereotypical … but it’s definitely nice.

Don’t worry! A trail of rose petals isn’t necessary to make your loved one swoon. You can simply add a few candles, put on some Marvin Gaye and draw a bubble bath to set the mood.

It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a lot of time or money to give your loved ones a truly amazing Valentine’s Day.

After all, it’s the thought that counts, right? 😉
